My Story
Throughout my diverse professional career, two constant threads define my journey: an insatiable hunger for knowledge and a passion for creativity. My first job was as a computer lab assistant at Western Michigan University, where I provided technical and teaching support for graphic design courses, nurturing my fellow classmates while honing my own skills in emerging web technologies. After graduating, I held several sales and marketing roles in the commercial printing industry, spearheading multimedia advertising campaigns.

Wanting to teach again, I turned back to the education sector as an adjunct professor at Pennsylvania College of Technology. I loved teaching Adobe fundamentals for digital images, videos, audio, and website design, fostering creativity in the next generation of designers. However, the corporate sector quickly pulled me back as an entrepreneur, aiming to improve processes in the Pulp and Paper Industry. This entrepreneurial spirit fueled my thirst for creativity as I managed all facets of the business, from finance to personnel management, continually seeking out opportunities to push the boundaries of innovation.

Still yearning to teach at the college level, I began looking for master's programs in the field of instructional design. While exploring options, I spoke with an admissions counselor at Penn State World Campus. I not only found a master's program, but also a job I loved. My time as an admissions counselor was spent helping students begin their educational journey and manually processing thousands of applications annually. As a graduate student in instructional design, I developed an online 30-day Admissions Training program essential during the Covid pandemic, a Coaching for Career Development online course, and a Mindfulness and Hygge online course. After graduating with my master's, I began my role as an instructional designer at PSU's Great Valley Graduate School, where I lead the charge in crafting dynamic eLearning modules and integrating Universal Design principles. Through each endeavor, I've embraced the dual pillars of lifelong learning and creativity, driving innovation, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. I am currently seeking my next opportunity in the corporate sector.
